![]() Dirty Water Installation“Somerset Pumps provided a brand new control panel and pump, pipe work and complete installation for our farm in Chester in September 2009. We are very happy with the whole project and the pump is easy to maintain and working perfectly. We were very impressed by the professionalism and expertise of the Somerset Pump team and the exceptional quality of the installation.” Robin Langford, Whitehead Farm, Chester Dirty Water Disposal System
The Somerset Pumps DIRTY WATER DISPOSAL SYSTEM uses a sewage macerator pump, which develops sufficient pressure to run 4 sprinklers and chop up straw and solids, thus eliminating the requirements for either filters or settlement tanks.
The Somerset Pumps system is not just the pump. It is a system that has been carefully designed with the right combination of pump, pipes, fittings, sprinklers and electrical components to provide an easily managed, reliable installation for the disposal of dirty water within Environments Agency Guidelines. From the first trials in early 1986 the system has been developed entirely through “on farm” experience. There are now over 600 systems installed throughout the UK.
The submersible, 2hp cast iron macerator pump can pump directly from any tank, ditch or lagoon, and is easy to service and maintain.
The Pump will deliver approximately 2,000 gallons per hour if installed with 4 sprinklers and 63mm supply pipe. The installed system will cover 5 acres in easy moves.
Each sprinkler will deliver approximately 500 gallons per hour over an area of 850 square yards. This gives an effective precipitation rate of ˝” in 4 hours (3.0mm per hour)
We offer a 2-year guarantee, which includes a full pump service in our workshop 12 months from the installation date. This service and the cost of return transport are included in the price of the system.
Remember… before you decide on any dirty water system always speak to a farmer who has used the system for at least a year, and check whether there is a back up service available. We have fully equipped workshop for long-term service and repair of pumps. We also offer an annual service contract, which extends the guarantee period on the pump unit. ”We needed a new dirty water system installed on our farm in Devon. Somerset Pumps were helpful from the start, carrying out a free site visit where we discussed exactly what we needed and a breakdown of the requirements. The end result is a great system and great service.” Mr Chant - Devon |
